Dmitry Bivol will defend his WBA and IBF light heavyweight world championships against mandatory challenger Michael Eifert on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at the UMMC Arena in Yekaterinburg, Russia.
The bout marks Bivol's return to competition after a 15-month layoff and recovery from back surgery.

Bivol holds a record of 24 wins and 1 loss with 12 knockouts, according to reports from Bad Left Hook and Ring Magazine.
Eifert enters the championship matchup with 13 wins and 1 loss, including 5 knockouts, having secured his title shot by defeating former world champion Jean Pascal in March 2023.
The WBO declined to sanction the bout as a formal title defense but chose not to strip Bivol of his WBO belt.
Bivol previously captured undisputed and Ring Magazine titles by defeating Artur Beterbiev via majority decision in February 2025, rebounding from a narrow loss to Beterbiev in October 2024.
Challenger's Long Road to Title Shot
The 28-year-old German spent three years waiting for his mandatory opportunity while staying active with a single six-round victory over Carlos Eduardo Jimenez in August 2024.
Eifert expressed deep satisfaction that his patience finally resulted in a scheduled four-belt world title opportunity.
"It was a long wait, a real rollercoaster," Eifert told The Ring.
The challenger reflected on how his childhood ambitions fueled his focus during the lengthy period on the sidelines.
"I had to learn patience, but knowing what I was waiting for helped: A chance to fight for four belts.
