Brown has minimized speculation about a rift with former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts. He spoke publicly on Monday after being traded to the New England Patriots.

Brown told Maria Taylor he did not understand the heavy media focus on his bond with Hurts.

However, he admitted the two had grown more distant by the end of their final season together.

The wide receiver insisted the shifting dynamic did not hurt the team's on-field performance. He clarified that no specific dispute triggered the change.

"Nothing happened, people just grow apart," Brown said. "Nothing happened between me and him, or our families, wives, anything.

Nothing like that ever happened. Life happens and you just look up sometimes and you find yourself drifting away and that's fine.

I think both parties accepted that."

Brown expressed his desire for Hurts to find success and achieve his goals in the future.
