According to Spanish newspaper AS, Tsygankov submitted a formal letter expressing his desire to depart.

“Mijn sportieve toekomst is niet te spiegelen met het huidige project bij deze club,” the winger stated in his letter.

He seeks an amicable separation as he looks to move away from the second tier of Spanish football.

Cruijff's Spanish Recruitment Drive

Cruijff has focused on recruiting from Spain since taking his role at Ajax in February.

He recently secured manager Míchel from Girona to lead the Dutch team.

Espanyol also reportedly holds an interest in the player.

The pursuit of Tsygankov follows multiple transfer discussions held by Cruijff.

He was previously spotted by Spanish newspaper SPORT at Camp Nou for a meeting with Barcelona technical director Deco.

Those discussions reportedly involved potential departures for Marc Casadó and Roony Bardghji, alongside a theoretical loan deal for Shane Kluivert.
