The Angels remained hitless until Oswald Peraza's two-out double in the fourth inning.

Relievers Mason Barnett and Hogan Harris closed out the final two frames, completing a four-hitter. It marked the fifth shutout for the Oakland pitching staff this season.

The Angels played without star outfielder Mike Trout, who was placed on the 10-day injured list before the game due to a right hamstring strain.
