The City of Ralston has announced a detailed schedule and traffic plan for its Independence Day celebrations, set for July 3 and 4, 2026, at multiple locations.

July 3 Events

Festivities begin on July 3 with an Archives Museum Open House from 4 p. m.

to 6:30 p. m.

The Picnic on the Green and an Amateur Pie Baking Contest start at 5:30 p. m.

at Granary Green.

A Family Street Dance will be held at 77th and Main Street at 7 p. m.

A 21-and-over Lemon Fresh Days Concert follows at 8:30 p. m.

at Granary Green. Fireworks are scheduled for 10 p.

m. at 73rd and Q Street.

July 4 Events

Independence Day activities start with the Optimist Fun Run/Walk at 7:30 a. m.

The Sons of America Kick-Off 250 Ceremony takes place at 9:15 a. m.

, followed by a Children's Parade at 10 a. m.

A dedication ceremony for the LaDonna Johnson Fountain will be held at 10:30 a. m.

at Independence Square. The main Parade Through Ralston begins at 1 p.

m. from 80th and Highland Street.

The celebration concludes with the Fire Department Water Fights and an After Parade Cool Down Party at Granary Green, both starting at 3:30 p.

m.

Traffic and Parking

The parade route will close to traffic starting at 10 a. m.

on July 4.

Parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis at Liberty First Credit Union Arena, Ralston Park, and designated street areas.

Officials advise attendees of the July 3 fireworks to arrive early and avoid the intersection of 72nd and L.

Visitors are prohibited from standing or sitting on the newly installed sod in front of city hall.
