Former President Joe Biden delivered a sharp critique of Donald Trump during a keynote address at a Democratic party gala in Hanover, Maryland, on Saturday.
Biden labeled his successor incompetent and corrupt, as reported by The Guardian.

The 10-minute speech targeted several local infrastructure projects overseen by the Trump administration.
These included alterations to the White House East Wing, the Lincoln Memorial reflecting pool renovation, and planned monuments in Washington DC.
Biden specifically highlighted a $1.7 million filtration system contract for the reflecting pool that was awarded to a neighbor of Trump's Mar-a-Lago club without a competitive bidding process.
"Whoa!" exclaimed Biden.
"What a loser."
The former president argued that the financial arrangements behind the capital renovations exposed deeper systemic issues within the current executive branch.

"It's the corruption – the corruption, the brazen, blatant corruption," said Biden. "Corruption on a scale never seen before in American history in any administration."
Biden further condemned Trump's international diplomacy decisions, pointing to his interactions with Russian President Vladimir Putin and his rhetoric regarding NATO.
"He's diminished our standing in the world more than any president in history has," said Biden.
Prior to delivering his remarks at the fundraising event, Biden issued a written statement emphasizing the importance of grassroots political operations ahead of the upcoming legislative elections.
"I've always believed democracy isn't a spectator sport," said Biden.

The gala appearance occurred exactly two years after Biden's 2024 debate performance, which led to his withdrawal from the presidential race and the subsequent election of Trump over Vice President Kamala Harris.
