Search and rescue crews are continuing their efforts in the Georgia Strait on Sunday evening, looking for as many as six individuals following a marine emergency.
Earlier in the day, authorities successfully rescued four people from the water. The distress notification was received at approximately 11:45 a.

m. near Vancouver.
The incident occurred about 10 nautical miles southwest of Vancouver International Airport. The Joint Rescue Coordination Centre managed the initial response.
According to the centre, they were notified of "several people in the water without personal flotation devices" when the operation began.

After the recovery of the four survivors, emergency personnel moved them to the Sea Island Coast Guard Station.
Paramedics were present to facilitate immediate transfer and medical assessment.

Search operations remain ongoing as evening progresses. Authorities are coordinating efforts to locate the remaining missing individuals.
