Zverev, who recently won his maiden Grand Slam title at the French Open, said the condition is nothing new and will not hinder his performance at The All England Club.

Zverev's Grass Allergy Revelation

“I’m very well. The grass allergy is nothing new for me.

I have it every year.

I just never spoke about it before and didn’t really show it in the last years,” Zverev said in a pre-tournament interview.

The 29-year-old acknowledged that the allergy is manageable and has not affected his preparations for the grass-court major.

Before arriving at Wimbledon, Zverev competed at the ATP 500 event in Halle.

He recorded wins over Vit Kopriva, Yannick Hanfmann, and Raphael Collignon before losing to Taylor Fritz in the semifinals.

Zverev’s recent French Open triumph came after he lost the 2025 Australian Open final. He admitted that winning his first Grand Slam title has changed his outlook.

“I have to be honest with myself: it feels different with the title in my pocket. There is more joy and, in a way, more freedom.

But when I am on court I want to do my job and play my best tennis,” he said.

Wimbledon remains the only Grand Slam where Zverev has yet to reach a final. In nine previous appearances, he has never advanced beyond the round of 16.
