The Philadelphia Flyers have agreed to terms with veteran forward Noel Acciari on a two-year contract worth $5.6 million, the team announced July 1, 2026.

The deal carries an average annual value of $2.8 million and will begin in the 2026-27 NHL season, according to General Manager Daniel Briere.

Filling a Roster Gap

The signing addresses a need created by the trade of forward Garnet Hathaway to the Florida Panthers on June 25.

Acciari brings a physical, defensively reliable presence to the Flyers' bottom six.

The 34-year-old spent the last three seasons with the Pittsburgh Penguins, recording 13 goals and 12 assists for 25 points in 67 games during the 2025-26 campaign.

He also posted a career-best plus-14 rating last season.

Acciari has appeared in 585 career NHL regular-season games with the Boston Bruins, Florida Panthers, St. Louis Blues, Toronto Maple Leafs, and Penguins, totaling 144 points.

Known for his defensive play, he won over 52 percent of his faceoffs last season and had a 61 percent success rate in the dot against Philadelphia during the 2026 Stanley Cup Playoffs first-round series.
