Supermodel Karlie Kloss defended the importance of bipartisan dialogue during an interview with Bloomberg Originals released on July 1, 2026.
She addressed how she navigates her political views while being part of President Donald Trump's extended family.

Kloss, who co-founded Bedford Media and identifies as a Democrat, is married to billionaire venture capitalist Joshua Kushner.
He is the younger brother of Trump's son-in-law and senior advisor Jared Kushner.
Interviewer Emily Chang asked: "You're married to a man whose brother happens to be married to Ivanka Trump.
How do you deal with everything that comes with that?"
Kloss emphasized that her personal identity and core progressive values remain unaffected by her husband's prominent relatives. "Well, I know who I am," she replied.
"I know the values that guide my life and the issues that I care about.
So, you know, I haven't lost sight of who I am, but also, it's my husband's family."
When questioned about political conversations at family gatherings, Kloss credited her upbringing in Missouri for preparing her to handle diverse viewpoints.
"Well, we're sitting here in St. Louis, which is a blue dot in a red state," she said.
"Since as long as I can remember, I've always been exposed to a lot of different political points of view and I think that trained me for my life."
Kloss maintained that political differences should not prevent people from maintaining personal relationships. "You know, I'm a Democrat.
