Manchester United finalized an agreement on Thursday to send goalkeeper Andre Onana to Turkish Super Lig club Trabzonspor on a second consecutive season-long loan.

The deal is a straight one-year loan with no option or obligation to buy, according to reports from the Daily Mail Sport, Manchester Evening News, and sports journalists Fabrizio Romano and Ben Jacobs.

Manchester United will receive a fee of up to £1.3 million (€1.5 million) based on performance bonuses, while Trabzonspor will cover the majority of Onana's £120,000-a-week wages.

The 30-year-old Cameroon international spent last season on loan at Papara Park, where he kept six clean sheets in 29 league matches, helping Trabzonspor finish third and win the Turkish Cup.

Trabzonspor president Ertugrul Dogan expressed satisfaction with retaining the goalkeeper after previously negotiating terms.

"I think Andre Onana will stay with the team, we've met his financial demands," Dogan said.

"The fans like him too, he's a decent bloke, I don't think we'll have any problems."

Dogan believed the player would remain settled in Turkey due to immense support from the local fan base.

"I don't think he'll find the same level of interest in him anywhere else," Dogan added. "So I think he'll stay with the team."

Despite Onana's desire to return to Old Trafford and compete for his place, Manchester United management informed his camp that he would not displace Senne Lammens as the starting goalkeeper.
