Shortly after, Vinícius Júnior set him up with a precise pass, leaving Endrick unmarked in front of goal.
However, his attempted chip over goalkeeper Ørjan Nyland went wide.
Earlier in the match, midfielder Bruno Guimarães had missed a penalty kick, adding to Brazil's frustration.
Endrick's limited playing time during the tournament had already sparked debate among fans on social media.

Head coach Carlo Ancelotti kept Endrick on the bench for most of the tournament, despite injuries to key players like Neymar and Raphinha.

Before the Norway match, Endrick had only made brief appearances against Haiti, Scotland, and Japan.
Endrick joined the World Cup after a loan move from Real Madrid to Olympique Lyon in December 2025.
During his six-month stint in Ligue 1, he recorded eight goals and eight assists in 21 matches.
"During those six months in France, my life completely changed," Endrick said.
Despite his strong domestic form, Ancelotti chose other tactical options, culminating in Brazil's elimination.
