Philadelphia Phillies left-hander Cristopher Sánchez is reportedly set to start the 2026 MLB All-Star Game for the National League.

The game will take place on July 14 at Citizens Bank Park, according to reports from July 5, 2026.

Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts is expected to give Sánchez the starting nod in front of his home fans.

Sánchez, however, remains focused on his regular-season schedule.

“We’ll wait and see,” Sánchez said.

The 29-year-old has a 10-3 record with a 2.00 ERA and 136 strikeouts over 117 innings this season.

He leads all qualified players with a 5.7 bWAR.

Sánchez expressed his excitement about his second All-Star selection. “It feels good,” he said.

“I’m super excited and happy.”

His season includes a 50 2/3-inning scoreless streak, the fifth-longest in modern MLB history.

Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Jacob Misiorowski also has a 4.3 fWAR but is scheduled to start on July 12, making him ineligible for the All-Star Game.

USA Today reporter Bob Nightengale confirmed the plan.

“It might be a different dilemma if Dave Roberts was planning to start Misiorowski, but the current plan is for Sánchez to have the honor,” Nightengale said.

Sánchez will be joined by teammates Brandon Marsh, Kyle Schwarber, Bryce Harper, and Jhoan Duran. Rotation partner Zack Wheeler did not make the selection.
