The Baltimore Orioles blanked the Cincinnati Reds 3-0 at Great American Ball Park on Friday night, powered by five scoreless innings from starter Trevor Rogers and a two-run home run by rookie catcher Samuel Basallo.

Gunnar Henderson walked, stole third, and scored on a throwing error by Reds catcher Tyler Stephenson during a double steal.
Basallo extended the lead to 3-0 in the third inning with an opposite-field two-run homer off Cincinnati starter Brady Singer.
It was his 13th home run of the season.
The home run was the 20th allowed by Singer in 17 starts this year, surpassing the 19 he gave up over 32 starts last season.
Pitching Highlights
Rogers earned the win, improving to 6-7. He allowed two hits over five innings, striking out four and walking five, matching a career high.
When paired with Basallo, Rogers has a 2.50 ERA over 86 1/3 innings. Basallo has caught him 15 times since his MLB debut last August.

Rogers has allowed just three earned runs over his last 24 1/3 innings. He is scheduled to start next on Thursday against the Chicago Cubs.
Singer took the loss, falling to 3-8.
He allowed three runs (two earned) and three hits over five innings, tying his career high with five walks.
The Reds bullpen held Baltimore to one hit over the final four innings.
Cincinnati shortstop Elly De La Cruz stole his 150th career base in the third inning, becoming the youngest Reds player since 1900 to reach that mark.
After Rogers, relievers Rico Garcia threw two innings, Yennier Cano worked the eighth, and Tyler Wells closed out the four-hitter in the ninth for his first save since September 28, 2023.
