Feyenoord head coach Giovanni van Bronckhorst has demoted Mexican striker Stephano Carrillo to the club's Under 21 squad, according to reports on Monday.
The 20-year-old forward joined the youth team's first training session under new coach Adrie Poldervaart at Varkenoord.

Carrillo was purchased for approximately €2.5 million from Santos Laguna in the winter of the 2024/25 season.
Loan spell and market value drop
During a loan spell at FC Dordrecht last season, Carrillo scored four goals in 34 matches under former manager Dirk Kuyt.
His absence from the first team was highlighted when 18-year-old striker Izu Onunta was selected instead for a recent 6-0 friendly win over Dordrecht.
According to Soccernews. nl, Carrillo's market value has dropped to €700,000 on Transfermarkt.
Mexican club Chivas Guadalajara is reportedly monitoring his situation, with a return to South America appearing likely this summer.
Former FC Dordrecht manager Dirk Kuyt commented on Carrillo's development during his loan spell.

"I expected more from Carrillo at this point," Kuyt said.
Kuyt added context regarding the pressure on the South American striker, comparing him to other players.
"If we look at Ayase Ueda this season and last season, some people thought Ueda would be sold, and now Ueda is the top scorer of the league.
With Carrillo, again, I expected more, but we are talking about a 20-year-old who came from South America, and the expectation was that he would do the same as his predecessor Gimenez," Kuyt added.
Carrillo remains under contract with Feyenoord until mid-2029.
He has made only three official appearances for the first team without scoring any goals, according to 1908.
