Mohamed Brahimi, a professor of humanities at Worcester State University, said a win by Morocco would not erase the legacy of French colonialism but would address past grievances.

Brahimi explained that the period of French rule in Morocco is remembered as a painful chapter marked by subjugation, domination, and exploitation of resources.
