World No. 1 golfer Scottie Scheffler has expressed strong interest in participating in more international events following upcoming adjustments to the PGA Tour schedule.
Speaking at The Renaissance Club in North Berwick, Scotland, the American golfer highlighted his enthusiasm for exploring overseas venues as the tour prepares to introduce a new structure.

The scheduling shift will occur in the 2028 season, when a new two-track system will grant players additional time during the autumn months to compete in international tournaments.
“It definitely interests me. I’d like to see how it shapes out the next couple of years.
There’s a lot of places I think I’d like to play,” Scheffler said.
The four-time major winner, who turned 30 last month, acknowledged that expanding his international schedule requires balancing professional aspirations with his personal life.
“I’m at a time in my life where I have a young family at home and young kids.
Those are times -- the fall is a special time for our family.
It’s where we can really check out and be together, and I get to spend a lot of time with my kids.
So I hold those moments pretty sacred,” he said.
While prioritizing family time, Scheffler noted that specific global destinations, including Australia and New Zealand, remain highly appealing to both him and his wife.
“But at the same time, I love golf and I would love to be able to play more internationally.
