FC Barcelona Femeni head coach Pere Romeu signed a two-year contract extension on Thursday, keeping him at the helm of the reigning European champions until June 30, 2028.

A media conference followed at the Spotify Camp Nou commercial office to discuss upcoming squad planning.
Romeu expressed his satisfaction with the renewal, stating, "I am where I want to be. I cannot be in a better place.
Here I have everything I want, and sometimes when you go outside, you may not find such a healthy environment."
Squad Depth and Transfer Plans
The manager addressed squad depth concerns following the departures of Ona Batlle, Mapi Leon, Alexia Putellas, and Salma Paralluelo.
He also confirmed impending extensions for Caroline Graham Hansen and Marta Torrejon.
"I believe and blindly trust that there will be no more departures from the team, and that is what we all want," Romeu said.
"Regarding signings, we need to replace the positions we have lost. We must bring in an attacker and reinforce the defensive line.
In midfield, we have many players, and the club's obsession should be on the defensive side, bringing in players who allow us to maintain competitive tension, and an attacker to replace Salma."
Romeu emphasized that the club will overcome market challenges by developing younger squad members to take on leadership roles in European competitions.
