Vietnam has been selected to host the 2026 Pickleball World Cup in Da Nang, organizers confirmed on July 9 in Hanoi.
The tournament will run from August 30 to September 6, marking the first time the global event is held in Asia.

Approximately 4,000 athletes, coaches, experts, and guests from 80 countries and territories are expected to attend.
The lineup includes top 20 world pickleball players, tennis legends, and sports icons.
Venues and Concurrent Events
Matches will take place across multiple venues in Da Nang.
These include eight courts at the Tien Son Sports Complex, 31 courts at the Tuyen Son Sports Village, Trang Hoang pickleball court, Hop Thanh Phat pickleball court, and central city clubs.
The tournament will also feature the World Entrepreneur Tournament 2026 (Pickleball World Cup Edition) from September 2 to September 4.
This segment will bring together 1,600 entrepreneurs, investors, and business leaders across 26 competition categories.

The entrepreneur tournament is co-organized by the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Pickleball Club, America & Asia Link LLC, FPT Play, and the Da Nang Pickleball Federation.
A drawing is scheduled for September 1, and the championship prize for the leadership category is 15 million VND.
Side activities include a world pickleball development forum, business-to-business networking programs, investment promotions, a gala night, and exhibitions showcasing pickleball and OCOP products.
Tran Phuoc Son, Chairman of the Da Nang Pickleball Federation, said the local federation actively coordinated with relevant units to establish the organizing committee.
This provided an effective solution in the absence of a national-level federation to lead the international tournament.

Le Hong Hiep, Deputy Director of the Department of Political Work under the Ministry of Public Security, requested that Da Nang quickly complete procedures with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to establish a national team and coordinate with the World Pickleball Federation for legal compliance.
