Once reserved for special occasions, bubbly is now seen as an everyday option by many consumers. However, tight budgets limit regular purchases of champagne or English sparkling wine.
This has turned attention to crémant, an affordable French alternative that offers high quality without the premium price.
What Makes Crémant Special
Crémant uses the same traditional method as champagne, with a second fermentation in the bottle. This process creates bubbles and develops complex flavors through aging on the lees.
Rather than being a cheap imitation, crémant highlights the unique terroir of its production region.
Different French wine regions produce distinct crémant styles. In the Loire, limestone soils and chenin blanc grapes bring crispness and elegance.
