Rangers have initiated direct talks with the representatives of Sturm Graz defensive midfielder Ryan Fosso to secure a permanent transfer to the Scottish Premiership.

According to Sky Sports Switzerland, the Glasgow club leads a four-way continental race for the 24-year-old anchor man, having advanced furthest in negotiations.

Competition for Fosso

Spanish side Levante have already submitted a contract proposal, while Italian clubs Torino and an unnamed Serie A team are actively inquiring about the player.

Fosso, who switched his sporting nationality to Cameroon in March 2026, joined Sturm Graz six months ago from Fortuna Sittard for £900,000.
