Six couples are still competing inside the Fiji villa as Peacock's "Love Island USA" approaches its season eight finale, scheduled for Sunday, July 12.

The remaining pairs are vying for the public vote and the $100,000 grand prize.

The final days will feature a "Family Day" episode on Thursday, July 9, where contestants receive feedback from their relatives.

Remaining Couples and Relationship Milestones

The surviving pairs are Trinity Tatum and Bryce Dettloff, KC Chandler and Tierra Davis, Kayda Bosse and Zach Georgiou, Melanie Moreno and Sincere Rhea, Kenzie Annis and Dylan Wrona, and Aniya Harvey and Carl Schmidt.

Tatum and Dettloff became the villa's first official boyfriend and girlfriend, while Chandler and Davis solidified their relationship status on Tuesday.

Relationship milestones have caused friction among contestants, particularly after Georgiou asked Bosse to be exclusive. Bosse cried when other islanders compared the status to a "situationship."

Commentators Weigh In

Tess Higgins and Sally Darr Griffin, commentators for TODAY. com, analyzed the remaining contestants.

Higgins expressed concerns about Georgiou and Bosse's standing after a recent public vote placed them in the bottom tier.

"If you had asked me at the start of the season, I would have said that (Zach and Kayda) were probably making it to the end, but now I’m not so sure," Higgins said.

Griffin noted that while the pair has faced recent difficulties, she believes they deserve to be in the final four.
