The suspension took effect on Sunday after Kyiv's forces targeted 90 Russian vessels in less than a week.

The intensive aerial campaign crippled maritime logistics and struck key energy infrastructure deep inside Russian territory. Among the targets was the Syzran oil refinery in the Samara region.

Political Shifts in Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced a simultaneous domestic political overhaul as Ukraine alters its strategic approach amid escalating frontline operations.

He stated that Ukraine was "changing its political strategy."

Zelenskyy offered Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko the opportunity to lead "a new, important area" in Ukraine’s relations with a key international partner.

Her resignation on Sunday is expected to pave the way for her to become Ukraine's ambassador to the United States.

Zelenskyy also paid tribute to the late US Senator Lindsey Graham, calling him "a true defender of freedom and the values that make our world safer."

Graham passed away on Saturday due to a heart attack, shortly after finalizing a sanctions package against Russia with the Trump administration.

International Support

International allies are scheduled to convene in Paris on Monday to discuss further military aid and economic pressure against Moscow.

France’s President Emmanuel Macron said he would use the summit to unveil new defence initiatives and joint military exercises.

The meeting will also focus on tackling Russia’s shadow fleet, new military capabilities for Ukraine, greater mobilisation of defence industries, and deeper operational cooperation among Kyiv’s backers.
