Land Rover previewed the new Range Rover Sport Electric at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, demonstrating its off-road prowess alongside existing combustion models.
The electric variant will join the six-cylinder, V8, and plug-in hybrid powertrains in the sporty SUV lineup, with full specifications expected later this year as part of a mid-life facelift.

During a private preview, Land Rover put electric prototypes through theatrical trials, including rolling one out of an airplane fuselage and sending another up a flight of steps, to show the EV can handle difficult terrain like its combustion siblings.
Martin Limpert, Managing Director at Range Rover, said the electric variant “will redefine performance SUVs again” when it arrives later this year.
The prototypes wore the current Range Rover Sport bodywork but with new alloy wheels and EV-specific puddle lights.
The production version will likely feature design updates.

While Land Rover did not reveal the electric powertrain’s output, it is expected to mirror the 542 hp unit found in the Range Rover Electric.
Full specs will follow later in 2026, likely alongside the facelift.
