Salford-based industrial dance duo Silverwingkiller captures the intense feel of a summer heatwave through music that sounds delirious and full of dread, as reported by The Guardian.
Taking their name from the Chinese title for Blade Runner, the duo creates heavy electronic music using energetic breakbeats and the distinct acid frequencies of the Roland TB-303 synthesiser.

A Distinctive Sonic World
Musicians James Baca and Yushang Ni formed the project in 2024 after relocating to Greater Manchester from Peterborough and Shanghai, discovering a mutual sense of artistic independence.
Since starting their journey, the group has put out a collection of intense singles via their independent label, 1000% Triad Funded, mixing themes of paranoia and conflict with high-energy production.
The duo has also established a strong reputation for raw live sets, where James Baca handles live drums while Yushang Ni delivers vocal performances in English, Mandarin, and Shanghainese.

Their single Gunman Corner features sharp drum patterns, aggressive synthesizers, and processed vocals that generate a high-intensity, chaotic sonic environment.
The accompanying B-side track, Shang Film, offers a slightly calmer approach by blending ambient textures with big beat elements, while maintaining an underlying sense of unease.
The duo recently shared that their musical creations represent the specific style "you would buy from the dark web."
