Declan Rice opened the scoring with a strike from outside the box after capitalizing on a mistake by Desiré Doué.

Ezri Konsa then doubled the lead, heading in a corner delivered by Rice.

Bukayo Saka added two quick goals within ten minutes, assisted by Marcus Rashford and Eberechi Eze, putting England firmly in control.

During the halftime interview with the BBC, England assistant coach Anthony Barry praised the team's resilience.

"I see 11 lads out on the field with broken hearts, I've seen them in the hotel the last two days with broken hearts, and they can build a performance like that just through pride of playing for England," he said.

However, he also warned: "The game's not done – anything can happen."
