Piast Gliwice claimed their first victory of the new Ekstraklasa season by defeating Wisla Krakow 2-1 on August 1, 2026, at Okrzei Street in Gliwice.

Samuel Ntamack and Hugo Vallejo scored in the first half to give the hosts a comfortable lead.
Jordi Sanchez pulled one back for Wisla before halftime, but Piast held on to secure the three points.
Early Dominance Pays Off
Piast started strongly, pressing high and forcing errors from the Wisla defense.
In the 17th minute, a defensive mistake by Jakub Krzyzanowski allowed Ivan Lima to intercept the ball and set up Ntamack, who finished low into the far corner for his first career Ekstraklasa goal.
The home side doubled their advantage in the 32nd minute.
