Toyota has revealed a new Trailhunter package for the 2027 Tundra, aimed at providing a more affordable entry into overlanding.
Based on the SR5 trim, which starts at around $46,000 for the 2026 model year, the Trailhunter adds factory-installed off-road hardware without the premium price of the TRD Pro.

The package includes Michelin LTX Trail tires, an Old Man Emu suspension upgrade, front recovery hooks, and additional underbody protection.
Off-road aids such as Multi-Terrain Select, Crawl Control, and a locking rear differential are also standard. Bronze wheels and unique badging distinguish the Trailhunter from other Tundra variants.
Subtle Design Updates
For the 2027 model year, all Tundras receive a mild facelift.
Changes include repositioned turn signals, minor grille and bumper tweaks, an improved grille-mounted LED light bar, and available RIGID fog lights.
However, the updates are subtle and may not dramatically alter the truck's appearance.
Technology Upgrades
Every 2027 Tundra now comes standard with a 14-inch infotainment display running Toyota's latest multimedia software.

The system features AT&T 5G connectivity, customizable widgets, and enhanced voice control via "Hey Toyota" commands.
A built-in Drive Recorder is also standard, capturing 20-second clips using the truck's exterior cameras.
Toyota's Safety Sense 4.0 is now standard across the range, updating driver assistance systems.
Powertrain choices remain the same: a 389 hp twin-turbo V6 or a 437 hp i-FORCE MAX hybrid.
The Trailhunter, based on the non-hybrid SR5, is expected to use the standard V6.

More details, including pricing and full specifications, will be announced this fall. A small price increase over the 2026 base price of $41,260 is anticipated.
