Canadian singer and content creator Rafaëlle Roy has announced she must reduce her activities following urgent medical advice about her vocal health.
After an examination, an ENT specialist warned that she risks developing nodules on her vocal cords due to overuse.

Roy shared the news on Instagram, explaining that she was instructed to maintain nearly complete vocal rest for several weeks.
She humorously wrote, "I exhausted my voice—so emergency ENT appointment and mandate: keep my mouth shut as much as I can."
Balancing Performance and Recovery
Despite the medical directive, Roy will continue performing in the show Génération MusiquePlus, which celebrates major hits from past decades.
Outside of performances, she plans to remain silent to preserve her voice.
Roy acknowledged the challenge of staying quiet while caring for two young children but committed to following medical guidance.
She expressed gratitude to her supporters for their continued encouragement, adding, "We continue the shows & I'm loving my life.

Vocal cord nodules are a common injury from overuse, causing hoarseness and difficulty speaking or singing.
Roy's doctor advised her to "close the big trap as much as possible" to prevent the condition from worsening.
In a separate interview, Roy reflected on a difficult personal chapter, describing her departure from working as a backing vocalist for Jonathan Roy after three years as "the biggest heartbreak of my life."
She explained that she had to step back to focus on her own project, saying, "I was giving too much importance to his project, which is his.
