Robert Downey Jr has returned to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Doctor Doom in Avengers: Doomsday.

The film brings back major MCU characters including Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth.

Fans have shown strong enthusiasm for the movie, especially due to the return of original X-Men actors Rebecca Romijn and Kelsey Grammer.

Downey Jr told Romijn at Comic-Con that their return was a "big moment."

Cast Reactions and New Additions

All cast members, including Chris Evans, Pedro Pascal, Paul Rudd, and Letitia Wright, were reportedly thrilled to work alongside the returning X-Men.

Downey Jr said, "I have to say, we nerded out," describing their presence as lighting up "this constellation of excitement" with "really incredible" scenes.

The film also introduces new cast members like David Jonsson as the new Black Panther and Ryan Gosling as a new Ghost Rider, according to Downey Jr.

Other original X-Men stars such as Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, James Marsden, Alan Cumming, and Channing Tatum also reprise their roles in the film.

The trailer spotlights Doctor Doom's complicated relationship with the Fantastic Four, indicating tensions between Pascal's Mr. Fantastic and Doom.

This footage was exclusive to Comic-Con Hall H attendees and is not yet available online.

The first trailer, released last week, received criticism from fans, who found it disappointing.

However, the newer trailer debuted at Comic-Con has been welcomed more warmly, with fans on social media expressing preference for it.

Avengers: Doomsday is the first part of a two-part Avengers finale and will be released on December 18, the same day as Dune: Part 3.
