Former England center Joe Marchant has restored his eligibility for national team selection after agreeing to join Sale Sharks from French club Stade Francais.
The move positions him for potential inclusion in Steve Borthwick's autumn squad.

Marchant's transfer to Stade Francais in 2023 temporarily halted his international career due to Rugby Football Union regulations that restrict foreign-based players from representing England.
Returning to the Premiership structure makes the 30-year-old eligible again for national duties as England prepares for its upcoming test against Australia on November 8.
International Career and World Cup Experience
The center previously made his international debut in August 2019 against Wales before earning a spot in the 2023 Rugby World Cup campaign.
During that tournament, he scored a key try in England's quarter-final victory over Fiji, started in the semi-final loss to South Africa, and participated in the third-place win against Argentina.
Marchant is also approaching the conclusion of World Rugby's mandatory three-year international stand-down period.

Having last played for England three years ago, he holds Welsh heritage and technically qualifies to switch international allegiance to Wales under global eligibility rules.
However, the center confirmed his commitment remains focused on earning selection for Borthwick's squad rather than pursuing alternate options.
"I'd love to get back in the mix for England," said Marchant.
Marchant emphasized that securing a spot on the national team depends entirely on establishing consistent form in domestic competition following his return.
"But I know that first I have to get back into the flow of the Prem and put in some good performances for Sale," he added.
