The Football Association moved the traditional season curtain-raiser to the 74,000-capacity Welsh venue because Wembley Stadium is unavailable due to pre-arranged concerts by The Weeknd scheduled from August 14 to 19.

Fans traveling to the city center venue are advised to use public transport or regional park-and-ride facilities at Severn Tunnel Junction, Bridgend, Pontypridd, or Newport due to strict local road closures.
