Thyroid Medication Recall
The FDA designated a Class II recall of levothyroxine sodium tablets on July 13, 2026. Tests showed the hypothyroidism medication contained reduced active ingredients, making it less effective.
Major Pharmaceuticals packaged and distributed the affected tablets nationwide. Cardinal Health handled additional distribution involving 12 different dosage strengths and carton sizes.
Egg Recall Due to Salmonella
On July 22, 2026, Midwest Poultry Services, L. P.
recalled 1.6 million dozen shell eggs over Salmonella concerns. The eggs were distributed in Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana.
Affected products were sold at Kroger and Brookshire Grocery stores under carton codes P-1950 or 0840962 with Julian dates 157 through 184.
Lettuce and Supplement Alerts
Taylor Fresh Foods and Taylor Farms de Mexico issued notifications on July 18 regarding iceberg lettuce potentially contaminated with Cyclospora.

The lettuce was distributed to Texas Walmart locations under the Marketside brand and select Taco Bell restaurants.
PT Organics Limited recalled organic items sold nationwide at Kroger, Meijer, and Target between March 6 and July 13, 2026.
The recalled products bear barcode 8 15367 01078 0 and various best-before dates extending into 2027.
Additional alerts targeted undeclared allergens and supplement purity. Zen Principle Naturals recalled lot A6FF4 of its dietary products sold via Amazon.
Fayus Inc. recalled imported products missing milk allergen declarations on July 17.
