Nine players were ejected after an altercation broke out during a Basketball Tournament match between Kansas alumni team JHX Hoops and Wichita State alumni team AfterShocks at Koch Arena on July 27, 2026.
The incident occurred with 2:45 remaining in the second quarter when Wichita State player Markis McDuffie missed a shot.

Mario Chalmers of JHX Hoops and Rashard Kelly of the AfterShocks contested the rebound before Kelly appeared to push Chalmers as both fell to the floor.
Players from both benches rushed onto the court following the physical contact.
Officials subsequently ejected Chalmers, Jamari Traylor, Kevin Young, and Tra-Deon Hollins from JHX Hoops, while Kelly, QJ Peterson, Morris Udeze, James Woodard, and Chaunce Jenkins were ejected for the AfterShocks.
The ejections left both rosters with just six eligible players for the remainder of the contest.
Tensions persisted into the second half, where Billy Preston of JHX Hoops and Trey Wade of the AfterShocks received mutual technical fouls during a rebound pursuit with 4:21 left in the third quarter.
The game served as a semifinal matchup in the Alumni Bracket, with the victor scheduled to advance to Wednesday's Alumni Bracket Championship in Lexington, Kentucky, against Kentucky alumni team La Familia.
Before the contest, players from both teams reflected on the historical intensity of the rivalry dating back to Wichita State's NCAA Tournament victory over Kansas in 2015.
