Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California, is temporarily closing several key attractions for seasonal refurbishments. The 15-month 70th anniversary celebration officially concludes on August 9, 2026.
Maintenance crews have already begun dismantling anniversary decorations across the resort.

This includes the removal of the Sleeping Beauty Castle-inspired sculpture in the Esplanade and the giant Music Box structure.
The upcoming closures across Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure will allow for scheduled maintenance, infrastructure updates, and seasonal overlays before autumn.
Disneyland Park Closures
Disneyland Park will see temporary shutdowns for the Haunted Mansion, Main Street Cinema, Sailing Ship Columbia, Davy Crockett's Explorer Canoes, Frontierland Shootin' Exposition, and Pixie Hollow throughout August.
The Haunted Mansion closes on August 8 to prepare for its seasonal holiday overlay and reopens on August 21.
Main Street Cinema will close from August 10 through August 27.
Sailing Ship Columbia will be out of service August 3–7 and August 10–14.
Davy Crockett's Explorer Canoes will pause operations August 3–6 and August 10–13.

Character meet-and-greets at Pixie Hollow will close on select Tuesdays and Thursdays in August.
The Frontierland Shootin' Exposition is slated to remain shuttered through at least early September.
Additional maintenance includes a temporary hiatus for Minnie & Friends – Breakfast in the Park at the Plaza Inn from August 10 through September 21.
The restaurant itself will remain open for regular daytime dining.
Disney California Adventure and Other Adjustments
At Disney California Adventure, the Silly Symphony Swings wave swing will remain offline through at least early September after closing for refurbishment in April.
Other scheduled maintenance includes closures for Storybook Land Canal Boats, Casey Jr. Circus Train, Chip 'n' Dale's GADGETcoaster, Redwood Creek Challenge Trail, and Sorcerer's Workshop.
Entertainment schedules will shift as summer ends. The Fantasmic nighttime show will go dark on August 24–27 and August 31.

Following the anniversary, the resort will launch Halloween Time with seasonal overlays and themed entertainment. The holiday season will begin on November 13, 2026.
