Invesco QQQ, the massive ETF tracking the Nasdaq-100 Index with over $453.58 billion in assets under management, faces intense fee competition as BlackRock and State Street launch rival funds featuring a lower 0.10% expense ratio ahead of Invesco's second-quarter earnings report on July 28, 2026.

State Street introduced its competing Nasdaq-100 tracker two weeks prior to BlackRock launching the iShares Nasdaq 100 ETF (IQQ) on July 9, 2026.

Both funds heavily undercut the 0.18% annual operating expense charged by Invesco's flagship product, triggering structural portfolio shifts among major institutional investors.

Despite the aggressive fee reduction by rivals, flow data indicates that investors continue to prioritize deep liquidity and trading volume over marginal cost differences.

On July 24, BlackRock's IQQ saw approximately $22 million in trading activity, while Invesco QQQ traded nearly $29.4 billion, demonstrating a massive liquidity advantage.

Invesco's lower-cost alternative, QQQM, which charges a lower expense ratio than the traditional QQQ fund, collected $79 million on July 24 and has recorded several sessions exceeding $200 million in net inflows over the past month.

Meanwhile, State Street's QNDX saw inflows flatten to zero following a short-lived $49 million surge on July 23.
