Seattle Mariners designated hitter Rob Refsnyder hit a two-run home run off the left-field foul pole on Tuesday night, July 28, 2026, in his return to the lineup against the Los Angeles Dodgers at Dodger Stadium.

The veteran slugger spent his rehabilitation period making significant adjustments to his stance and swing mechanics alongside hitting coordinator Ed Paparella in Arizona.
Refsnyder opened up his right foot at a new angle to relieve physical pressure on his back knee.
"I really don't want to make excuses," said Refsnyder. "My body is my body.
I should have made those adjustments (earlier)."
Seattle activated Refsnyder specifically to address their ongoing offensive struggles against left-handed pitching, an area where Refsnyder has historically produced strong numbers throughout his career.
"We've identified some things. … It's kind of like a science experiment," said Refsnyder.
"But it's feeling good enough to compete."
The club altered its major-league coaching staff during Refsnyder's rehab stint, promoting Paparella following the dismissal of assistant hitting coach Bobby Magallanes last week.
