A magnitude 4.3 earthquake shook northern Sonoma County near Cloverdale on Tuesday evening, with no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
The mainshock occurred at approximately 7:40 p. m.

The epicenter was located near Geyserville, southeast of Cloverdale, at a depth between 3.4 and 5.6 miles.
About one minute later, a magnitude 2.5 aftershock struck the same area at a depth of roughly 2.7 miles.

Residents across northern Sonoma County—including Cloverdale, Geyserville, Healdsburg, and Windsor—as well as parts of Mendocino and Lake counties, reported feeling light to moderate shaking.
The region near The Geysers regularly experiences seismic activity due to local faults and geothermal operations.
State Sen. Mike McGuire, D-Ukiah, posted on social media that there were no early reports of damage or injuries.

Local authorities and emergency services confirmed no significant structural destruction or personal injuries were recorded.
