Daley Blind made a notable return to Ajax during their Conference League second qualifying round match against Vojvodina, immediately resuming a commanding role on defense, according to analysts.
The central defender played his first official minutes after rejoining Ajax, having featured in pre-season friendlies against VfL Bochum and Olympiakos, and recently participated in a half against Burnley.

Former striker Danny Koevermans praised Blind's performance, saying, "Blind plays at Ajax as if he never left."
"He was away for three years and now blends in naturally again. He sets the lines and delivers the passes," Koevermans added, highlighting Blind's leadership on the field.
ESPN commentator Teun Boer, who initially expressed skepticism about Blind's return, also acknowledged his strong showing in the Vojvodina match.
"There were many skeptics, myself included, but so far... he stood out again in the match against FK Vojvodina," Boer said.
Jeroen Haarsma, sports editor at Noordhollands Dagblad, noted the benefits of playing in the Conference League qualifiers for team morale and readiness.
"The qualifiers bring a positive atmosphere, which is important before the Eredivisie season starts," Haarsma commented.
Ajax Nears Arokodare Deal
In addition to Blind's return, Ajax appears close to acquiring striker Tolu Arokodare from Wolverhampton Wanderers, which could intensify competition among forwards.

Koevermans evaluated Arokodare's potential, stating, "You can make great highlight reels from any prolific scorer, but his physical presence and goal-scoring in the box are impressive."
He further observed Ajax's ambition in signing multiple forwards, describing it as an "all-in" effort to secure the championship.
"With Marcos Leonardo already signed for 20 million, adding Arokodare shows Ajax's commitment," Koevermans said.
The former striker also contrasted the playing styles of the two forwards, suggesting they could complement each other on the field.
Koevermans concluded with praise for Abdellah Ouazane, a player who impressed during preparation matches.
"His action against FK Vojvodina was outstanding, and he looked strong again against Burnley," Koevermans remarked.
