Seattle authorities recovered an untraceable ghost gun and a modified machine gun following a fatal gunfight at the Bite of Seattle food festival on July 26, 2026.
The incident left three people dead and at least five others injured.

The deceased include 19-year-old suspect Junior Cee Niko Semo, along with two bystanders: 44-year-old Carlos Israel Sanchez Villalba and 56-year-old Ashley Whitehead.
Police disarmed and arrested a 15-year-old suspect at the scene and are searching for at least one additional suspect.
Investigators retrieved three handguns from the scene.
Among them was a 9mm Polymer80 ghost gun with a 33-round magazine and a Glock equipped with an illegal auto sear switch holding 40 rounds, violating Washington state's 10-round limit.
A . 45-caliber handgun was also recovered but was not fired during the incident.
Gang Activity Suspected
Seattle Police Chief Shon Barnes stated during a press conference that the violent outburst was linked to local gang activity.
"We're working to determine the groups involved and what their relationship may be," Barnes said.
Police noted that another individual with a possible gunshot wound entered a nearby hospital but left before questioning.

Officers continue reviewing digital recordings, physical evidence, and surveillance footage to reconstruct the event and locate remaining suspects.
Community members gathered on Monday evening for a candlelight vigil at a local fountain to honor the victims.
Online fundraisers were created to assist the surviving family members with funeral costs.
