Robinhood Markets reported that event contracts brought in $156 million in revenue during the second quarter, outperforming cryptocurrency trading revenue.
Total transaction-based revenues rose 44% year-over-year to $776 million, according to quarterly financial disclosures released Wednesday.

Cryptocurrency trading revenue fell 38% compared to the same period last year, reaching $100 million. Equities trading revenue totaled $129 million.
Overall net revenue climbed 32% year-over-year to $1.31 billion.
Net income for the retail brokerage reached $573 million, a 48% increase from the second quarter of 2025.
Strong Growth Across Trading Products
Chief Financial Officer Shiv Verma highlighted the expansion across several core trading products during the period.
"We delivered record revenues and drove new highs across equity, option, and event contract volumes, as we continue to win market share," Verma said.
Crypto notional trading volumes reached $40 billion for the quarter, including $22 billion from Bitstamp following Robinhood's acquisition of the platform last year.
Company shares declined approximately 3% in after-hours trading to $86.89 after the release.

Robinhood expanded into event contracts in October 2024 with presidential election markets and launched a prediction-markets hub in March 2025.
Contracts are sourced from Kalshi and Interactive Brokers' ForecastEx, while its CFTC-licensed exchange Rothera operates through a joint venture with Susquehanna International Group.
Robinhood Chain launched on public mainnet earlier this month as a Layer 2 network using Arbitrum's technology stack.
Total value locked in the network reached approximately $325 million, supported by partners such as Uniswap.
Chief Executive Officer Vlad Tenev noted rapid adoption metrics for the new blockchain network.
"It was also the fastest chain to get 100 million transactions. I think we're well north of 150 million transactions at this point," Tenev said.

Decentralized exchanges running on Robinhood Chain have processed over $12 billion in trading volume to date.
