Elisabeth Ladinser, chair of the umbrella group, stated, "Independence does not arise from owning more but from being less dependent.
Energy-efficient buildings, renewable energy, regional food, and good infrastructure for cycling and walking make our lives safer and strengthen our society."
Ladinser stressed that these principles are critical for regions like South Tyrol, where sustainable development depends on expanding renewable energy, renovating buildings, fostering energy communities, promoting sustainable mobility, and protecting water, soil, and biodiversity.
