Las Vegas Aces center A'ja Wilson has addressed the growing conversation that places her among the greatest WNBA players of all time.
During an ESPN interview aired on July 30, 2026, Wilson reflected on her legacy while leading the reigning champions through a dominant season.

The 29-year-old is averaging 26.2 points on 53.7 percent shooting, along with 9.7 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1.6 blocks per game.
Her performance has helped the Aces to a 19-8 record, second in the league standings, as she pursues a fifth MVP award.
When asked about being mentioned in GOAT discussions, Wilson expressed humility and a drive for more. "Crazy, it's crazy.
When people say it, it's truly crazy, because you think about so many people that have been on this list of GOATs, and I just wouldn't imagine my name being on it at this point of my career," she said.
"I still got so much to do. I still have to keep going.
I want more."
Malika Andrews, the interviewer, pressed Wilson on whether she expects to cement that legacy by the end of her career.
Wilson responded, "Probably, knowing me, but then on the other side of me, I'm probably like, 'Uh, am I?
I don't know, though.'"
The three-time Defensive Player of the Year also shared her gratitude for her journey. "I love it.
And then the career and the journey that I've been on, it's been so blessed," Wilson said. "If I'm the GOAT cool, I'm there.
