Microsoft's stock surged over 15% on July 30, 2026, adding nearly $450 billion in market value, the largest single-day gain on record.

The rally lifted the company's total market capitalization to $3.35 trillion, according to LSEG data.

The previous record for a single-day gain was $441 billion, set by Nvidia in April 2025.

Strong Cloud Performance Drives Rally

The surge followed Microsoft's fiscal fourth-quarter results, which showed revenue of $90.0 billion, up 18% year-over-year.

Non-GAAP diluted EPS came in at $4.74.

Azure and other cloud services revenue grew 43%, accelerating from 40% in the prior quarter and exceeding management's guidance of 39% to 40%.

Overall Microsoft Cloud revenue reached $59.3 billion, up 27%.

Total operating income rose 18% to $40.6 billion. Management noted that annual Azure revenue surpassed the $100 billion threshold for the first time.

Analysts said strong performances in artificial intelligence and cloud divisions helped ease Wall Street concerns about heavy capital expenditures on infrastructure.
