Cameron Norrie will take on defending champion Denis Shapovalov in the semifinals of the ATP Los Cabos Open in Mexico on Saturday, August 1, 2026.

Norrie, the 2021 champion and current world No. 37, advanced after a dominant 6-1, 6-0 win over Bernard Tomic in the quarterfinals, which lasted just 50 minutes.

The British player converted 15 break points during the match, showcasing his strong hard-court form at this venue.

Shapovalov, ranked 68th, has an undefeated 8-0 record at the Los Cabos tournament since winning the title in 2025.

Despite committing 22 double faults across three matches this week, the Canadian lefty has dropped only one set so far.

Norrie holds a 2-0 career head-to-head record against Shapovalov, having never lost a set to him.

Their only previous hard-court meeting was in San Diego in 2021, where Norrie won 6-3, 6-1 in 66 minutes, saving the only break point he faced.

A victory for Norrie would move him into the top 35 of the live rankings, boosting his chances of a seeded spot at the upcoming U.

S. Open.

Shapovalov, meanwhile, is aiming for a win to re-enter the top 50 in the ATP live rankings.
