The Minnesota Twins acquired right-handed pitcher Dean Kremer from the Baltimore Orioles just before the MLB trade deadline.
The move aims to strengthen their pitching staff during a competitive season.

Kremer, 30, has posted a 1-4 record with a 6.50 ERA and 38 strikeouts over 36 innings this season.
He recently showed promise with a strong splitter after returning from a quad strain.
Despite his uneven performance, Kremer is expected to serve as a versatile swingman for the Twins.
He will provide depth behind current fourth and fifth starters Zebby Matthews and Connor Prielipp, both of whom are managing innings limitations.
Fantasy Baseball analyst Scott White explained Kremer's potential role.
"At first glance, he wouldn't appear to be any better than the pitchers occupying the fourth and fifth spots, Zebby Matthews and Connor Prielipp, but both are entering unfamiliar territory with regard to innings, Prielipp especially," White said.
"This trade serves as a reminder that those two pitchers, who are pretty fringy in Fantasy to begin with, have an expiration date.
You can expect Kremer to fill a swingman role until he needs to step in full-time," he added.

In a related move, Curtis Mead was traded to the Boston Red Sox in exchange for Connelly Early, who now joins the Washington Nationals.
Mead, 25, was having a breakthrough offensive season but fractured his wrist shortly after joining the Red Sox and is expected to miss the remainder of the season.
