Le Cercle bouliste will hold its first vogue tournament in Villereversure on Monday, August 3, starting at 2 p.
m. The event is open to everyone, including families and beginners, offering a chance to discover boules lyonnaises.
The competition aims to introduce newcomers to the sport, which has slight rule differences from traditional petanque.
Teams of two can enter for 20 euros per team, and each victory earns 20 euros. Refreshments will be available on-site.
Recent Success in Saint-Verand
The upcoming event follows a successful vogue tournament organized by the Amicale boule in Saint-Verand.
That competition attracted 16 teams of four players, who played three matches lasting one hour and 45 minutes each.
In Saint-Verand, the winning team consisted of Andre Marzola, Thierry Ravier, Fernand Menon, and Ali Aidouni.
They finished ahead of the runner-up team of Nadine Berruyer, Philippe Mollard, Jean-Marc Uzel, and Serge Mazzoleni.
Mayor Dominique Uni and her deputies presented flowers to the winners. The Villereversure tournament promises a similar friendly and competitive atmosphere.
