EasyJet has officially stationed a seventh aircraft at Glasgow Airport, adding an Airbus A320 with 186 seats to its fleet.
The move supports three new summer routes and is expected to create around 400 regional jobs.

The expansion brings EasyJet's total aircraft based in Scotland to 17.
About 10 percent of the airline's entire international network now serves Scottish airports, which handle over 100 routes across 24 countries.
New services from Glasgow will fly to Pisa, Malta, and Sharm El Sheikh. A winter route to Krakow is also planned, along with added frequencies on existing flights.
To mark the occasion, EasyJet Holidays introduced a promotional discount on regional package bookings.

Kevin Doyle, EasyJet's UK country manager, said the airline is delighted to celebrate the arrival of the seventh aircraft and the launch of new routes.
He noted that expanding regional options keeps travel affordable and boosts inbound tourism to Scotland.

Doyle added that continued growth in Scotland supports skilled jobs and plays a vital role in connecting the country to Europe and beyond.
He emphasized that accessible air routes bring significant tourism revenue and economic benefits to Glasgow and the surrounding regions.
Glasgow Airport's managing director, Gavin Birch-Williams, called the deployment a significant milestone.
He said it strengthens a partnership that has connected Scotland to key European destinations for more than 30 years.
Birch-Williams highlighted that the additional aircraft is a major vote of confidence in Glasgow and the Scottish market.

He concluded that the expansion will support greater connectivity, create new opportunities for tourism and business travel, and provide more choice for millions of customers.
