Honda has teamed up with footwear maker Achilles to create a kids' sneaker inspired by the Civic Type R.
The shoe is based on the popular Syunsoku Ultima line and features Type R styling cues.

Pre-orders are now open in Japan for ¥6,490, which is around $41.
The sneakers are designed for elementary school children, with sizes ranging from 16 cm to 23 cm (US 9 to 5Y).
Design and Features
The sneakers come in three color options borrowed from the Type R: Championship White, Frame Red, and Racing Blue Pearl.
Each pair features the Type R emblem on the toes and a red Honda badge on the heels.
Red stitching on the upper is inspired by the hot hatch's interior.

The upper is made of polyester and synthetic leather, while the soles use EVA plastic and rubber.
Achilles claims the shoes offer performance-inspired features like an asymmetrical outsole for cornering grip and a lightweight build.
They also include an Inner Flex System for flexibility.
Availability and Pricing
Pre-orders are open through Achilles' e-shop in Japan until September 27, 2026. First deliveries are expected in early October.

To mark the launch, Honda will display a Civic Type R with matching Syunsoku livery at promotional events in Fukuoka and Miyagi.
