Honda has set a $1,300 price increase for the refreshed 2027 Civic Type R, bringing its starting manufacturer's suggested retail price to $48,695.
The updated model is scheduled to reach dealerships later this month.
Performance and Cabin Upgrades
The 2027 Civic Type R gains re-tuned suspension damping in +R mode to improve cornering stability.
Honda also recalibrated the braking system for a more direct pedal feel and sharpened rev-match response during downshifts from the standard six-speed manual transmission.
Inside, standard equipment now includes heated front seats, Ultrasuede dashboard and door card trim, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.
The cabin adds integrated Alexa and Google voice assistants, dual USB-C ports, and a wireless phone charger.
Driver-assist features expand with Post-Collision Braking to lessen follow-on impacts.
Exterior changes include a larger central air intake and an extended front splitter for enhanced cooling and downforce.
A new Meteorite Gray Metallic paint option joins Boost Blue Pearl, Championship White, and Sonic Gray Pearl.
Interior updates introduce new seat perforation patterns, dark aluminum accents, and black knurled climate control knobs.
The powertrain remains unchanged, using a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four engine producing 315 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque delivered exclusively to the front wheels.
Production continues in Japan, with engines supplied from Honda's Anna Engine Plant in Sidney, Ohio.
